The Stonehenge audio guide is a popular way of learning more about Stonehenge and its builders. You can download the audio in English in advance or while you're on site. Avoid any queues for audio guides onsite and use your own device and headphones to explore the most famous prehistoric monument in the world and the landscape that surrounds it.
Take Advantage of the Audio Guide and its free to download
To make the most of your time at Stonehenge and learn all about the history and the many theories surrounding the site, make sure to grab one of the audio guides, which are available for free on site. Or even better, to avoid queuing for the audio guide, you can download it for free online and listen to it on your own portable music device.
Stonehenge Audio guides are available in ten languages, (English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, Dutch and Swedish).
Listen to the audio guide – again this is about making the day more than just looking at the stones. By listening to the audio guide you can understand what the archaeologists and historians have learned about each stone as you get to it. Kids also enjoy the guides too so include them in it.
Please note that due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, English Heritage are unable to provide audio guides at site. We can arrange for a local Stonehenge expert to meet you at the visitor centre for a unique guided walking tour incuding Stonehenge and the surrounding landscape with or without transport.
The audio guides are available to download on your phone and you must purchase Stonehenge tickets in advance if you are visiting the monument.
I've traveled extensively to several countries and taken many tours, and I've found your company's tours to be the best planned and best guided of all. Your driver/guides are very friendly, knowledgeable, and humorous. And they will always try to accomodate a special request if they can. Well done!
