Stonehenge Sunset Private Access Experience Tour 2024

Tour itinerary

Be one of the few people who are granted special access inside the inner stone circle of Stonehenge before it opens to the public (as regular entry tickets only allow you to walk along the path that circles the outside of the stones). This tour is run by our expert tour guides, is limited to private group of just 30 people and is an unforgettable experience for true Stonehenge, Neolithic, pagan or history enthusiasts.

Including Avebury Stone Circle and Ancient Wiltshire

We combine this tour (evening access) with a visit to the mysterious village of Avebury which is ringed by the largest stone circle in the world for an unforgettable day out of London. An intimate experience with one of the UK's most renown, mysterious & awe-inspiring historical sites.

Stonehenge - Private Viewing at Sunset

Built nearly 5,000 years ago, Stonehenge is the most popular prehistoric monument in the world. Most visitors to the site are not allowed direct access to the stones. With our Stonehenge Tours you get that access, with a private viewing of the mysterious monoliths. We will enter the stone circle itself and stand beside the mighty Sarsen rocks towering above us. Our guide will explain the history of this ancient site, pointing out the altar, slaughter and heel stones, above which the sun rises dramatically on the summer solstice. There will be time to enjoy the peace, away from the crowds, as we experience Stonehenge at its most mystical and atmospheric best. Not to be missed! This tour guarantees 1 hour inside the inner circle unlike other tour operators who only allow 30 minutes.

Avebury Stone Circle

We visit Avebury, a small village with lesser-known Neolithic stone circles situated close to Stonehenge. We will have a walking tour with an expert guide and then the opportunity to explore the village of Avebury or have lunch at the famous Red Lion Pub (lunch is not included). We will also see Silbury Hill & West Kennet Long Barrow, other important, mysterious Neolithic sites in the area.

West Kennet Long Barrow

Walk up the hillside to West Kennet Long Barrow one of the largest Neolithic burial tombs in Britain and over 5000 years old. Your guide will take you into the burial chambers and bring its fascinating history alive.

Vistit Lacock Village in the Scenic Cotswolds
Spend time exploring the delightful village of Lacock in the scenic Cotswolds. Untouched by modern hands, this charming place has been used in many films, such as Cranford, Pride and Prejudice and the Harry Potter movies. Maybe enjoy a pint in one of the historic pubs or afternoon tea and cake.

This is a very popular tour and must be booked well in advance!
We also offer a 'meet at Stonehenge option' please contact us.
