Located in the historic village of Fonthill Bishop in southwest Wiltshire just 25 minutes from Stonehege, the distillery derives its name from the medieval ‘witchmarks’ etched into the stone structures of Fonthill. Witchmark have already been honoured with global gold awards for their gin and vodka.

Witchmark Distillery is located in the center of the expansive 9,000-acre Fonthill Estate, within a Grade II listed barn that dates back to the 1600s. Adjacent to it, a splendid grain drying barn accommodates our visitor center and shop. In the production of our spirits, we will utilize the finest ingredients sourced from the crops cultivated on the prime chalk downlands that encircle us, combined with Fonthill’s pristine water, which is naturally filtered through limestone rock on its way to our bottles.

Explore their Grade II listed barn and gain insight into our whisky production process, which employs local barley and pristine limestone-filtered water. Observe how we produce our neutral grain spirit, the essential base for our gins and vodka.
