Bath and the Cotswolds
Bath, a world heritage site, is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. There will be plenty of time to shop and explore before we enjoy a drive through the Cotswolds. As we head north to Stratford we drive through the heart of the Cotswolds, taking in breathtaking views of open countryside criss-crossed by dry stone walls and bustling market towns with magnificent perpendicular churches.
Birthplace of William Shakespeare, the greatest writer in the English language, and home to the world-reknon Royal Shakespeare Company. Stratford is a charming market town set in the heart of rural England. A delightful river winds its way through the town, past the beautiful Holy Trinity church, where Shakespeare lies buried. Our tour includes an exclusive visit to Shakespeares birthplace before we enjoy Champagne and Strawberry scones*, served in his picturesque garden.
*Champagne and scones available April to October only
I just wanted to get back to you about the tour. It was FANTASTIC! Both my traveling companion and myself considered the tour with your company to be the highlight of the entire trip. We could not possibly give anyone a better recommendation. The guide was brilliant! He was informative, entertaining, and a perfect guide as well as just a fun gentleman to spend the day with. I hope to return to the UK next year or the year after. If it works out, I will attempt to hire your company again (same guy if available) for another day or two and spend additional time at the sites we saw quickly, as well as see additional sites that you are able to recommend. Thank you,
